To strengthen our Engineering Department, we are looking for a Piping Specialist Engineer who will be responsible for the design, sizing, and technical validation of piping systems used in our industrial furnace projects.

SIE HANDELN

The Piping Specialist Engineer is responsible for:

• Designing and sizing piping systems for annealing and galvanizing furnaces, including cooling water, nitrogen, hydrogen, combustion gases, and utility networks.
• Performing hydraulic calculations, pressure drop analyses, equipment sizing, and piping stress analyses.
• Preparing engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and design documentation.
• Defining technical requirements for valves and piping equipment and supporting procurement activities through technical evaluations of supplier proposals.
• Coordinating technical interfaces with Process, Mechanical, Structural, Electrical, and Instrumentation Engineering teams.
• Supervising and supporting designers during the development of piping layouts, isometrics, and support systems.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, project requirements, and company procedures.

SIE WISSEN

We are looking for a candidate who combines strong technical competence with excellent collaboration skills:

• Master's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Process, or equivalent.
• Proven experience in industrial piping design and fluid systems engineering.
• Sound understanding of engineering standards, piping calculations, and equipment sizing.
• Experience with engineering software such as AVEVA, CADMATIC, TEKLA, or similar tools is considered an asset.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities effectively.
• Proficiency in both French and English , written and spoken. Knowledge of German is an advantage.
• Valid work permit in Belgium
