About the role:

Salary range: $80k – $105k USD* 

We are looking for smart programmers who love to code, seek challenging problems, and appreciate recognition for excellent work. As a core engineer, your contributions will have a significant impact on our technology and business. You will be working on advanced systems including NLP, firmographic data, entity resolution, and much more.

In this role, you’ll solve interesting problems at the intersection of large and performant data pipelines, distributed systems, machine learning models, and robust infrastructure. You will collaborate with a global team of full-stack, data, ML, and DevOps engineers, working together to build scalable and reliable backend solutions as we continue to grow.

You'll Be a Good Fit If You:

• Have 3+ years of software engineering experience building and shipping production systems
• Have experience with a modern frontend framework, preferably React
• Know JavaScript and TypeScript, and are comfortable in Python — though we're open to strong candidates from other OO backgrounds
• Have strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem solving
• Are comfortable with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL
• Have experience with cloud environments, serverless technologies (Lambda, EC2), and asynchronous workflows
• Take ownership of your work and drive projects to completion with limited oversight
• Communicate proactively, surfacing blockers, asking the right questions, and keeping stakeholders in the loop
• Enjoy iterative improvement and care deeply about quality
• Are curious about AI, data, and real-world applications of machine learning
• Move fast, learn quickly, and value high standards
• Appreciate direct feedback, meritocracy, and transparency
