During a white night, inspired by 'Blown to Bits: How the New Economics of Information Transforms Strategy' I dreamt about transforming customs services into a combination of expertise, legal content, and technology.

From that day onwards, I started to seek allies to realise this idea in the Big4 where I was working. I soon realised that I had to go my own way and in 2004 I founded C4T (Customs4trade). In the first few years, we explored partnerships with software providers and customs brokers. None of them turned out to be the best way forward. We eventually developed CAS (Customs Accounting System) using our own insights and business goals.

Our team of experts and developers have been working hard to forge the digital tools that combine expertise, legal content and compliance services. We have created a team with a great "can do" attitude and drive to get the job done.

Today, CAS is composed of several modules to be used in combination or as a stand-alone solution and can be fully integrated with SAP or other ERP/WMS systems. We are supporting declarations in the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Switzerland, and more countries to follow. Other modules include Special Procedures - such as Inward Processing (IPR), Customs Warehousing, End-Use, Outward Processing (OPR) - and our Visibility and Analytics tool, Insights. With CAS you only need to act when needed and you can rely on our managed services team to take care of tasks and alerts.
