Working at Sabena Aerospace is working for an international group with a human dimension: its organization allows for autonomy, initiative and team spirit.

Enabling its employees to develop their skills in order to grow along with technology is essential in the aeronautical maintenance sector. Sabena Aerospace is fully aware of this and disposes of its own training activity, Sabena Aerospace training, as well as its network of training staff, whom train the group’s colleagues and make it possible for them to obtain their aircraft qualifications (Boeing, Airbus, etc.). It is also a reference in the profession as our entities train technicians all around the world.

SABENA - Société Anonyme Belge d'Exploitation de la Navigation Aérienne – started operating on 23 May 1923 as the Belgian national carrier. Regular flights to Amsterdam and Basle via Strasbourg were started in 1923 with further routes to London, Bremen and Copenhagen from 1924. By 1925, SABENA then pioneered the first routes to Africa, starting with a route to Congo.

From the very start, SABENA has developed its own capabilities to support and secure its flight operations. Its technical department (later called Sabena technics) was an important part of this set-up. Over time, it grew into an integrated organization developing partnerships with numerous aircraft manufacturers, operators, lessors, as well as providing its services to other airlines.

From the aircraft of the early years (such as the Farman Goliath, Breguet 14 or Handley-Page W8f) till the currently most operated aircraft manufactured by Airbus, Boeing, Embraer etc., our staff has proven its passion for aviation and its dedication to the success of its customers.
